HoldaCARE

Terms of Use

Effective 25 August 2026 · Beta Phase 1

This will change. HoldaCARE is in an invited beta. These terms describe the beta as it stands today, and our full Terms of Use are with legal counsel. They will replace this, and we will tell you when they do rather than quietly swapping the page.

HoldaCARE is built for people looking after someone else. These terms are meant to be read, so they are short and in plain words.

Please read this part

HoldaCARE is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It is somewhere to organise care and look after yourself while you give it. Nothing in the app — including anything Holda says, and anything in the recipes or wellness sections — is a substitute for your doctor, pharmacist or care team.

In an emergency, call emergency services. Emergency Mode exists to help you reach people quickly. It does not contact anyone on your behalf, it does not alert us, and it does not summon help. Nothing happens unless you make it happen.

Check anything that matters. Medication details, appointments and notes are what you or someone in your family typed in. HoldaCARE stores them faithfully; it does not verify them.

Who can use it

Invited testers aged 18 or over. Access is by invitation and your account is yours — please don't share your sign-in with anyone else.

What it costs

Nothing. The beta is free, HoldaCARE takes no payment of any kind, and there is nothing in the app to buy.

What you put in

What you write stays yours. We do not claim ownership of your notes, journal entries or documents, and we do not use them to train anything.

You are responsible for what you record — including that you are entitled to record information about the person you care for. Please only add what you reasonably need to look after them.

Recipe reviews are public. If you write one, other caregivers can see it along with your first name. Everything else you write is private to your account. You can delete a review at any time.

What a beta means

Using it fairly

Please don't attempt to break into other people's accounts, interfere with the service, or use it to store anything unlawful. We may suspend access that does.

The parts still with counsel

Our full Terms will cover the usual formal ground — warranties, limits of liability, governing law and how disputes are handled. Those need proper legal drafting, and we would rather leave them out of a provisional notice than guess at them. Until they are published, nothing here is intended to remove any right you have under the consumer law that applies where you live.
